Commissioner Sabina Covo serves as the City of Miami Commissioner for District Two representing Coconut Grove, Brickell, Downtown, Edgewater, and Morningside.

Comm- Sabina-Covo-EMAIL-Res (1).jpg Elected in February of 2023, Sabina Covo is the first Hispanic American and woman to serve Miami’s District Two as Commissioner. Public safety, affordable housing, resiliency, and quality of life for the city’s coastal neighborhoods are among her top concerns. Commissioner Covo is a small business owner and former communications professional who lives in Coconut Grove with her husband David and their three children. She graduated from Florida International University in 2001 with a bachelor's in communications and specialization in political science. Before being elected to public office, Commissioner Covo previously worked as a spokesperson for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and as a bilingual TV news reporter and print columnist.
