Appeal Hearing on behalf of Luis G. Rodriguez, Police Sergeant, concerning his 40-hour suspension, effective January 8, 2023.

Adanna Ferguson, Assistant City Attorney, appeared before the Board and advised that there is a settlement agreement between the respective parties. She advised once the agreement is executed it will be forwarded to the Civil Service Board Office.
Following discussion, the Board considered a motion to GRANT the continuance pending settlement, which resulted as follows:
Motion by Board Member Garcia, seconded by Board Member Jackson, Jr., that this matter be Approved, passed by the following vote:

Unsatisfactory Service Rating Hearing of Kemely Pierre, Financial Analyst I, relative to Civil Service Rule 13.2, concerning her Annual Evaluation period ending August 23, 2023.

Chair Sutton called on for the Unsatisfactory Service Rating Hearing on behalf of Kemely Pierre, Financial Analyst I, relative to Civil Service Rule 13.2. Libby Navarette, Attorney, appeared before the Board on behalf of Ms. Pierre. Adanna Ferguson appeared on behalf of the department.
ACA Ferguson advised the parties agreed to work on a possible settlement. ACA Ferguson went on to request a four (4) month continuance.
Following discussion, the Board made a motion to GRANT a continuance, which resulted as follows:
