City Kicks Off Donation Drive to Help Victims of Haiti Earthquake

The City of Miami - with the direct assistance of the Miami Police Department and the Department of Fire-Rescue - is now accepting donations to assist victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti at select fire stations across the city.
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, District 5 City Commissioner Jeffrey Watson and District 4 Commissioner Manolo Reyes officially kicked off the donation drive today during a press conference at Notre Dame d'Haiti Catholic Church in the heart of Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood. Rev. Fr. Reginald Jean-Mary and Fr. Youry Jules from Notre Dame d'Haiti also spoke at the press conference.
The City and Notre Dame d'Haiti Catholic Church are accepting donations of the following goods:
- Toiletries
- Diapers
- Batteries
- Non-perishable food items
Donations may be dropped off at the following City of Miami Fire-Rescue stations from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily until further notice:
- Fire Station 9 – 69 NE 62 ST, 33138
- Fire Station 5 - 1200 NW 20 ST, 33142
- Fire Station 7 – 314 Beacom Blvd, 33135
- Fire Station 8 – 2975 Oak Ave, 33133
- Fire Station 11 – 5920 W Flagler St, 33144
