For your information, Miami City Commission Resolution No. 41225 and APM–1–79 (Civil Service Board Election) requires that candidates who are to be declared elected shall have received 50% plus one (1) of the total number of votes cast for the specific seat they are seeking. In the race for Seat No.1, Maria G. Cabrera received 65.5% of the vote. In the race for Seat No. 2, Brandon Lanier received 79.3% of the vote.
Pursuant to APM–1–79 (Civil Service Board Election), a resolution confirming the election results for the Civil Service Board Election held on April 24, 2025, and April 25, 2025, is currently scheduled for the May 8, 2025 City Commission Meeting.
The two candidates elected shall become members of the Civil Service Board once certified results are confirmed by City Commission and the Oath of Office has been administered by the City Clerk.
