PROPOSED CITY OF MIAMI AMENDMENT TO
ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FY 2019
TO INCLUDE CARES ACT ESG-CV II FUNDING
As per the Code of Federal Regulations 24 CFR 91.200, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires entitlement communities that receive funds under its grant programs to prepare an annual Action Plan, which detail proposed activities to maximize the benefits of federal funding for low income residents and to provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/or amendment of HUD programs. The City of Miami is required to report annually to HUD on projects funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG); Home Investment Partnership (HOME); Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA) programs.
The public is hereby advised of the new Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) ESG-CV II allocation accepted by the City of Miami which will be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) among indivuduals and families who are homeless or receiving homeless assistance; and to support additional homeless assistance and homelessness prevention activities to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. The following is the additional allocation of federal funds (ESG-CV II) that will be used in FY2019.

City of Miami – Dept. of Housing and Community Development – Rapid Rehousing $3,434,311.44
City of Miami – Dept. of Housing and Community Development – Homelessness Prevention $1,594,501.74
City of Miami – Dept. of Human Services – Homeless Programs – Hotel/Motel Vouchers $490,615.92
