Federal regulations governing CDBG, and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the city program(s) as indicated below: *

  1. DISCUSS AND PROPOSE A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (“CDBG”) FUNDS, FROM FISCAL YEAR (“FY”) 2025-26, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $50,000.00 FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO PROSPERA INITIATIVES, INC D/B/A PROSPERA, TO BE UTILIZED FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO FOR-PROFIT BUSINESSES AND CARRY OUT OTHER ELIGIBLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN DISTRICT 4.

* The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan.

† † This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begins on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, and ends on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to the City Commission for approval on Thursday, January 22, 2026.. Draft copies of the agenda items will be available at the City of Miami Department of Housing and Community Development office located at 444 SW 2 Avenue, 9 Floor, Miami, FL 33130 (HCD Address). Comments to amendment(s) must be submitted to: nancyromani@miamigov.com, Attn: Nancy Romani, and must be received no later than January 21, 2026. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing. The meeting site is accessible to people with disabilities.
