Federal regulations governing CDBG, and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the city program(s) as indicated below: * ^†

1. DISCUSS AND PROPOSE A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (“CDBG”) ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, FROM FISCAL YEAR (“FY”) 2025-26, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND 00/100 ($100,000.00) FROM DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO THE OFFICE OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, TO BE UTILIZED FOR PARK IMPROVEMENTS IN DISTRICT 4, AS SPECIFIED BELOW: (REMOVED FROM AGENDA)

2. DISCUSS AND PROPOSE  RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF ADDITIONAL STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (“SHIP”) PROGRAM FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY-EIGHT THOUSAND TWENTY EIGHT DOLLAR AND 00/100 ($68,028.00) FOR STATE FISCAL YEAR (“FY”) 2025-2026, fOR THE STRATEGIES UNDER THE CURRENT SHIP LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN.

*The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan.
† † This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days.The review and comment period begins on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, and ends on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to the City Commission for approval on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Draft copies of the agenda items will be available at the City of Miami Department of Housing and Community Development office located at 444 SW 2 Avenue, 9 Floor, Miami, FL 33130 (HCD Address). Comments to amendment(s) must be submitted to: nancyromani@miamigov.com, Attn: Nancy Romani, and must be received no later than September 9, 2026.
