Public Notice - D5 Infill Homes Pre-Applications (Posted 06-16-2026)
Public Notice
District Five Pre-application Waitlist to address the purchase of six affordable infill homes
Miami, FL (June 16, 2026) –The City of Miami made paper pre-applications available from March 23 through April 3, 2026, to income-eligible City residents (as defined by the City of Miami code) interested in purchasing one of three, new construction homes in District Five as their primary residence, and a subsequent Waitlist of applicants was established to be processed on a first-ready, first-serve basis. The submission of a completed pre-application during this period in no way guaranteed the applicant’s eligibility.
Due to the number of pre-applications received during the referenced period, the City will use the established Waitlist to identify eligible buyers for the remaining three (3) homes currently under construction as part of the District Five infill program. These include two (2) twin homes to be located at 1756/1758 NW 2 Avenue and priced at $250,000 each and one (1) single-family home to be located at 1544 NW 58 Terrace and priced at $300,000. The construction of these new, affordable homes on vacant City-owned parcels is funded via the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and Miami Forever General Obligation Bonds (GOB).
In order to qualify for the pre-application process mentioned above, the applicant had to submit their pre-application by the deadline and meet all of the guidelines of the City’s First-time Homebuyer Program (www.miamigov.com/FTHB) or other available City downpayment assistance programs, including having a household income of no greater than 120% of Area Median Income (AMI), as defined annually based on the household’s size. Applicants who provided a pre-approval letter from a participating lender when submitting their pre-application were considered “first-ready” in the process. Note: The City resident requirement was waived only for current City or Miami-Dade County first responders (including police, fire, and emergency medical personnel).
