City of Miami to make pre-applications available on
September 11, 2023, for ten new affordable homes to be built and sold in District 5 

Starting Monday, September 11, 2023, 9 am, the City of Miami will make pre-applications available for income-eligible households interested in purchasing one of ten, new construction homes as their primary residence. Construction of the eight (8) twinhomes priced at $250,000 and two (2) single-family homes priced at $300,000, on scattered sites, is set for completion by September 2024. In order to qualify to purchase one of the homes, the household completing the pre-application must meet all of the guidelines of the City’s First-time Homebuyer Program (www.miamigov.com/FTHB), including having a household income no greater than 80% of area median income (AMI), as defined annually by the federal government below based on the household’s size:

The new homes will be built at the following District 5 addresses: Single-family homes: 779 NW 57 St. and 169 NW 35 St. Twin-Homes: 1461 NW 60 St.; 5437 NW 1 Ct.; 5447 NW 1 Ct.; 276 NW 53 St. The homes are funded via the federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).

The paper pre-applications will be available starting Monday, September 11, 2023, 9 am, at all D5 District Offices including Liberty City, Little Haiti, Model City, Overtown, Wynwood/Edgewater, and the Upper Eastside. The City will accept completed pre-applications, in person, at the office of the Liberty City Community Revitalization Trust, 4800 NW 12 Ave., Miami, FL 33127, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, until Monday, October 2, 2023. Pre-applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-ready, first-serve basis, with a City resident preference. The submission of a completed pre-application does not guarantee eligibility.
