PUBLIC NOTICE AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED CITY OF MIAMI
ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FY2026
Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 9:00 A.M.
Federal Regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provides citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/or amendment of HUD programs. Also, as per Code of Federal Regulations 24 CFR 91.200, entitlement communities that receive HUD funds must prepare an annual Action Plan, which outlines the proposed activities to maximize the benefits of federal funding for low-to-moderate income residents. The Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has completed a draft of its annual Action Plan (AP) FY2026, The AP will be available for review and comment for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begins on June 8, 2026, and ends on July 9, 2026. The HCD will present the AP to City Commission on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. for AP approval and authorization to submit it to HUD. The public hearing will take place at 3500 Pan American Dr. Miami, FL 33133. These hearings will be broadcast live for members of the public to view on Miami TV and/or Comcast Channel 77 (closed-captioned, within the City of Miami). The public is hereby advised of the new allocations of Federal Funds for the Annual Action Plan FY2026: CDBG $4,947,248; HOME $2,791,447.23; ESG $441,757; HOPWA $14,761,239.

Acceptance of Section 8 housing program funds, in the projected amount of $6,123,000 for rental assistance, and the projected amount of $587,500 for program administration for a total projected amount of $6,710,000.00.
Amendment of the City of Miami (“City”) Local Housing Assistance Plan (“LHAP”) policies for FY 2025-2028, to modify to the Single- Family Emergency program, and the Single-Family Rehabilitation program, respectively.

Comments to the annual Action Plan FY2026 shall be submitted in writing and received prior to July 28, 2026, via email to rtazoe@miamigov.com, or mailed to 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 3rd Floor, Miami FL 33130 (copies of the plan are also available at this location), Attn: Roberto Tazoe. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend the Public Hearing. The meeting site is accessible to the handicapped.
