Project Scope:
Bridge Repairs work includes the removal of the Epoxy Layer Overlay, Deck Repairs, removal of Sidewalk Tiles and Concrete restoration, sidewalks widening, replacement of Expansion Joints, installing ADA Plates on all Sidewalk Expansion Joints, restoration of Asphalt Pavement at Approach Slabs, restoration of spalled areas and injection and sealing of cracks, repair of Damaged Prestressed Beams, repair of Bearing Plates and Anchor Bolts, installation of Pile Jackets, and Seawall repair abutting the bridge.

Project Benefits and Impacts:
The rehabilitation and repairs of the bridge will enhance and improve public safety along SE 8th Street Brickell Key Drive over Brickell Bay.
Project Boundaries:
The project limits are from Brickell Key Drive to the end of Brickell Key Bridge, including the eastern side seawall.

Road Closures:
Some road closures will occur during construction. The construction and lane closures for the project will be performed in three phases:
- Phase 1: Inside lanes closure to reduce median width on the west end. This width reduction will later allow to widen sidewalks in phase 2 and 3.
- Phase 2: Closure of east bound (south side) bridge to perform deck repairs and to widen the south side sidewalk. Traffic will be moved to the north bridge. North side sidewalk will be available for pedestrians.
- Phase 3: Closure of west bound (north side) bridge to perform deck repairs and to widen the north side sidewalk. Traffic will be moved to the south bridge. South side sidewalk will be available for pedestrians.
Estimated time duration:
- Phase 1: 3 to 4 weeks
- Phase 2: 8 to 10 weeks
- Phase 3: 8 to 10 weeks
- Total time (Phase 1, 2 and 3): 19 to 24 weeks
