Project Scope:

Design and construction of roadway and stormwater infrastructure improvements including milling and resurfacing, sidewalk repairs, curbs and gutters, ADA ramps, driveway approaches, drainage system, signage and pavement markings.

Project Cost Estimate:

$3,617,822

  • Number of properties impacted: Total = 85 (60 Residential and 25 Non-Residential)
  • Total property value protected: $56M

Project Boundaries:

Day Avenue, Percival Avenue, Oak Avenue, Frow Avenue and Florida Avenue between Brooker Street and SW 37 Avenue.

Road Closures:

Some road closures may occur during construction but will be sequenced appropriately to minimize disruption to the residents.

Estimated Construction Timeline:

  • Estimated Construction Start: January 2027
  • Estimated Construction End: September 2027

Community Meeting:

A community meeting to review the easement process for this project took place on October 16, 2023, at 6:30pm at Armbrister Park.

Resident Involvement:

In order to complete the design of this roadway improvements project, the Office of Capital Improvements (OCI) will mail out easement agreements to the residents who reside within the project boundaries. These easements are necessary to upgrade the sidewalks and driveway approaches in some areas, as part of the project. 

Stay on the lookout for this mailout through certified mail by March of 2023.
