City of Miami District 4 Commissioner Manolo Reyes is proud to announce the opening of the New Olympic Pool at Shenandoah Park. “For the residents of the Shenandoah area, after so many meetings and planning this project represents a dream come true. Now they can finally enjoy a completely redeveloped park. But the most important thing is that we are giving the children and youth of our city, mainly the members of the swimming team of this park, the opportunity to train in an Olympic-quality aquatic center,“ said Commissioner Manolo Reyes. The second phase of the major redevelopment project consisted of the construction of a new Olympic-size swimming pool, the construction of the new office area and locker room, the construction of new walking trails and reconstruction of the basketball court. The $ 9 million Shenandoah Park reconstruction project began in 2021 and was achieved thanks to the joint effort of Commissioner Manolo Reyes, the Office of Capital Improvements and the City of Miami Parks and Recreation Department.
