City of Miami District 5 Celebrates Haitian Heritage Month -Sak Pasé

City of Miami Chairwoman and District Five Commissioner Christine King presents Sak Pasé in Little Haiti, a vibrant celebration of Haitian Heritage Month and Haitian Flag Day, honoring the rich culture and lasting influence of the Haitian community in Miami. Held at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, the event will bring the community together for an evening of live music, authentic Haitian cuisine, cultural pride, and family-friendly festivities. The celebration is free and open to the public.
Attendees can expect high-energy performances by DJ Bugz, with the evening hosted by Vee Boss. Additionally, a free, family-friendly art workshop is presented in partnership with Oolite Arts as part of its “Oolite Arts On the Move” initiative. Led by Haitian artists and Oolite Arts alumni Stephen Arboite and Mark Delmont, the hands-on experience will invite attendees of all ages to create artwork inspired by Haitian culture, traditions, and storytelling in a welcoming and creative environment.
“Sak Pasé in Little Haiti is a reminder that culture is what gives a neighborhood its heartbeat,” said Chairwoman King. “This celebration honors the energy, artistry, and traditions that continue to shape Miami in such a powerful way.”
