Project Address: 2820 McFarlane Rd., Coconut Grove, Florida

Peacock Park is an 9.4-acre waterfront urban park in Coconut Grove. The site of this public park was once home to the first hotel on mainland Florida south of Palm Beach and has since been a community gathering place for Coconut Grove residents and visitors. Located on Biscayne Bay, Peacock Park provides direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway.

Phase I:

The City of Miami Office of Capital Improvements (OCI) will manage this project.  The project will be executed in different phases.  The scope of work for Phase I includes design and permitting of 500 linear feet of shoreline stabilization/seawall, the addition of rip rap and one kayak launch.

There will be a design consideration for replacing the current boardwalk overlooking the bridge with a new boardwalk, if necessary, to accommodate the seawall construction and kayak launch access.  Nevertheless, if possible, the City will work to keep the original boardwalk in place. This will be determined by the final design upon completion of Phase I.

Project Boundaries:

Project includes the entire shoreline by the park.
