PROJECT SCOPE:

The project includes road reconstruction, drainage improvements, sidewalks, ADA compliant ramps, curb and/or gutter structures, pavement markings and striping, and roadway signage. The proposed drainage will include new and upsized stormwater inlets and pipes, exfiltration trenches, and a new pump station, connected to underground injection wells through a force main, with an outfall to Biscayne Bay.

PROJECT BENEFIT:

The project will help alleviate localized flooding experienced by the community.  

PROJECT LIMITS:

The project limits are bounded by NE 80th Street on the north, NE Little River Drive to the south, NE Bayshore Court to the east, and NE 8th Court to the west. The stormwater pump station location us anticipated at the Little River Pocket Park. 

PROJECT CONSTRUCTION IMPACTS:

Some road closures will occur during construction and will be sequenced appropriately to minimize disruption to the residents.

PROJECT COST ESTIMATE:

$16,067,860 

Estimated Construction start: Winter 2024

Substantial completion: Summer 2026

Estimated project schedule: From Procurement/Planning to Bidding for Construction: 24 months.

Construction duration: 16 months.

Number of months to reach substantial completion: Total (including Design and Construction): 40 months.
