Public Notice - D1 Infill Paper Pre-Application Available
City of Miami to make pre-applications available on
April 27 for four, new affordable twin homes currently under construction in District 1
Miami, FL (April 24, 2026) – Starting Monday, April 27, 2026, the City of Miami will make pre-applications available for income-eligible, first-time homebuyers interested in purchasing one of four, new construction twin homes located in District 1, as their primary residence. Construction of the twin homes, which are each priced at $400,000, is set for completion later this year. In order to qualify to purchase one of the homes, the household completing the pre-application must meet all of the guidelines of the City’s First-time Homebuyer Program (www.miamigov.com/FTHB), including having a household income no greater than 80% of Area Median Income (AMI), as defined annually by the federal government* based on the household’s size, as indicated below.

The new twin homes are under construction at the following addresses: 1924 NW 26 Street and 2115 NW 18 Street. They are made possible via funding from the federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The paper pre-applications will be available from Monday, April 27, 2026 until Fri., May 8, 2026, 9 am to 5 pm, at District One Offices. Please visit www.miami.gov/district1 for those location’s details. The City reserves the right to extend this time period until a sufficient number of pre-applications are received. The City will accept completed pre-applications, in person, at Juan Pablo Duarte Park, 1776 NW 28th Street, Miami, FL 33142, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), 9 am to 5 pm, until Friday, May 8, 2026. Pre-applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-ready, first-serve basis, with a City resident preference which requires that the applicant resides within the City of Miami’s boundaries for the immediate past twelve consecutive months. The submission of a completed pre-application does not guarantee eligibility.
The City assistance towards the home purchase is awarded as a 30-year forgivable loan and secured as a second mortgage on the property. Resale restrictions apply should the home be sold prior to the 30-year affordability period. For questions, call 305-416-2080.
