Watermain Construction and Roadway Design.

Project Scope:

Design and construction of right-of-way improvements including roadway reconstruction, milling and resurfacing, drainage system, 8-inch water main, water services, fire hydrants, sidewalks, valley gutters, curbs and gutters, driveway approaches, on-street parking, ADA ramps, pavement markings and signage, landscaping, and lighting.

Project Phases:

Phase I: watermain extension and associated work.

Phase II: roadway and drainage improvements at Tamiami Blvd and at SW 3 St

Phase III: roadway and drainage improvements along SW 71 Ave.

Project Cost Estimate:

$7,215,420

Project Benefits and Impacts:

  • Number of properties impacted: Total = 61 (52 Residential and 9 Non-Residential)
  • Total property value protected: $31M

Project Boundaries:

The project limits are bounded by Tamiami Boulevard between SW 71 Avenue and SW 72 Avenue. SW 71 Avenue between Flagler Street and SW 4 Street. SW 3 Street between SW 71 Avenue and SW 72 Avenue.

Road Closures:

Some road closures may occur during construction but will be sequenced appropriately to minimize disruption to the residents.

Estimated Construction Timeline:

Subject to change.
