Overtown Community Resource Fair and Backpack Giveaway

The Overtown NET Office has partnered the Office of Commissioner Keon Hardemon, Brightline, 99 Jamz and several community sponsors and organizations to donate 750-1000 book bags to the youth in Overtown. Bookbags will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.The Overtown Book bag event will not only provide school supplies to school aged youth, but Employment Services, HIV/AIDS screenings, a visual mobile truck, free food, live entertainment, prizes and much more. With partners such as Attachables, the Southwest Overtown Park West CRA Brightline, we will also provide free nail painting, water games and a distribution of transit bus passes through a partnership with Miami Dade Transportation Planning Organization.
