A New Park in the Neighborhood in District 3 - Un Nuevo Parque en el Distrito 3!
The City of Miami celebrated with the community on October 25, 2025, the grand opening of this new park in the City's District 3, in The Roads neighborhood! Don't miss the opportunity to visit this great new place with your family and friends! You will find two playground areas (pirate-themed), two dog runs (small/large dogs), outdoor exercise equipment, walking pathways, beautiful tree canopy and much more!
Design Plans for the New Park: The image below shows the different elements that are part of the new park. It depicts an open lawn area, a playground, a dog park for small dogs (under 15 pounds) and another dog park for larger dogs. It also shows the location of several large and beautiful trees that were kept from the original footprint.
Park Elements:
- Playground areas for children (2-5 years old and children 5-12 years old).
- Bicycle racks, outdoor exercise equipment, open green space, benches and walkway paths around landscaped green areas.
- Plenty of trees for shade and comfort and 2 covered shelter areas.
- Two (2) separate dog areas for dogs 35lbs and under, and over 35lbs.
- Roadway Improvements around the park.
- New concrete wall perimeter fence.
- Two (2) new pickleball courts. (Phase II of the project)
- Brand new community center. (Phase II of the project)
Plan de Diseño del Nuevo Parque: La imagen de abajo muestra los elementos que serán parte del nuevo miniparque. Muestra un área verde, un área de juego para niños, áreapara perros pequenos (abajo de 15 lbs.) y otra área para perros más grandes. Muestra también la ubicación de muchos frondosos y lindos árboles que fueron preservados de las propiedades anteriores.
Elementos del parque:
- Zonas de juegos para niños (De 2 a 5 años y de 5 a 12 años).
- Aparcabicicletas, equipo de ejercicio de doble uso, espacios verdes abiertos, bancos y senderos alrededor de zonas verdes con jardines.
- Varios árboles para brindar agradable sombra, y 2 zonas de refugio cubiertas.
- Dos (2) áreas para perros separadas: Una para perros de hasta 35 lbs, y otra para perros de más de 35 lbs.
- Mejoras en la calzada alrededor del parque.
- Nueva cerca de concreto alrededor del perímetro del parque. (Fase 2 del proyecto)
- Dos (2) canchas de pickleball nuevas.Nuevo centro comunitario.(Fase 2 del proyecto)

About the Project
The City of Miami, D3 Commissioner Joe Carollo, the Department of Parks & Recreation and the Office of Capital Improvements (OCI) proudly announce the groundbreaking ceremony of phase I of the new Mini Park in District 3, the Woodside Mini Park. An additional lot (SW 3691) was secured in the neighborhood to increase the new mini park area, this will be phase II. The demolition of the existing property at 3691 will take place after the groundbreaking ceremony.
The new park elements will include:
Phase I & Phase IA
- Playground areas for children (2-5 years old and children 5-12 years old)
- Bicycle racks, dual use exercise equipment, open green space, benches and walkway paths around landscaped green areas
- Plenty of trees for shade and comfort and a covered shelter area
- Two (2) separate dog areas for dogs 35lbs and under, and over 35lbs.

Phase II on Newly Acquired lot, increasing the park size
- New community building
- New pickleball courts
