Miami Seeks Artists for Public Art at New City Administration Building

The City of Miami, through its Art in Public Places (AIPP) program, announces a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for multiple permanent public art commissions at the new City of Miami Administration Building, a major civic facility currently under development.

The new Administration Building will serve as a central hub for essential City services and civic engagement, housing key City departments and the City Hall Chambers. Designed as a welcoming and highly visible public destination, the facility will feature interior and exterior civic spaces intended to support daily public interaction, community participation, and vibrant public life.
AIPP is seeking professional artists and artist teams to create integrated, site-responsive artworks that elevate the building’s architecture and surrounding public realm. Opportunities include entrances, perimeter conditions, and a multi-level interior atrium. Proposed artworks should reflect Miami’s rich cultural identity, enhance the civic experience, and contribute to the long-term character of this landmark public site.

This opportunity is open to regional, national, and international artists with U.S. representation or an active U.S. practice. Regional and local artists will receive preference for select project locations.
