Hop into Easter with a Celebration hosted by Chairwoman King

City of Miami Chairwoman and District Five Commissioner Christine King hosts an Easter celebration on Thursday, April 2nd from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Athalie Range Park. The free community event will have family-friendly activities including an egg hunt, face painting, games, a bounce house, music by DJ Tight, a visit from the Easter Bunny and free food for everyone (first-come, first-served).

Mayor Higgins Advances Plastic-Free Initiative on City Property

Miami City Commission unanimously approved a resolution sponsored by Mayor Eileen Higgins and co-sponsored by District 2 Commissioner Damian Pardo, that will create and implement a new procurement policy to eliminate the use and distribution of single-use plastics, including Styrofoam, in future City contracts with concessionaires doing business on City property.
