City Commission Meeting
Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 9:00 A.M.

Federal regulations governing CDBG, and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. The City of Miami will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 9:00 am at City Commission Chambers, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, FL 33133, to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on new funding(s)/ amendments(s) affecting the City’s Annual Action Plan. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the city program(s) as indicated below: * ^††

1. Discuss and propose resolution authorizing the acceptance of HUD Entitlement Grant Funds, in the total amount of $23,662,699 for FY2023-24 for the following programs: CDBG $5,348,046; HOME $3,760,171; ESG $479,067; HOPWA $14,075,415.

2. Discuss and propose resolution authorizing the allocation of CDBG funds by program category for FY2023-24 in the amount of $5,348,046.

11. Discuss and proposed resolution by a four-fifths (4/5ths) affirmative vote, after an advertised public hearing, ratifying, approving, and confirming the City Manager's finding, that competitive negotiation methods and procedures are not practicable or advantageous for the City of Miami ("City") pursuant to sections 29-b(a) of the charter of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended (“City Charter”), and Section 18-182(c) of the code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended (“City Code”); waiving the requirements for said procedures; authorizing the City Manager to transfer, with restrictions and automatic reverter provisions, the city-owned parcel of land located at 1199 NW 62 Street, Miami, Florida, to Yaeger Plaza Partners, LLC. (“Developer"), for the development of affordable/workforce rental housing project.

Comments to new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) must be submitted to rtazoe@miamigov.com, Attn.: Roberto Tazoe and must be received no later than July 12, 2023. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing. The meeting site is accessible to the handicapped.
