Program Fees

Water Aerobics $3 Adults /$1 Seniors

Water Walking $3 Adults /$1 Seniors

Lap Swim Monthly Pass $45 Residents /$65 Non-Residents

Senior Monthly Pass $10 (55+)
*Valid for Water Walking, Water Aerobics, & Lap Swim*

Swim Team $45 a month City Residents, $65 a month for Non-City Residents for both recreation and competitive
*Monthly Fee does not include additional fees for USA Swimming Registration, Uniforms, & Swim Meets*

 

Learn-to-Swim

Lessons are offered year-round for $45 for 8 lessons for City of Miami residents and $65 for 8 lessons for non-City of Miami residents.

There are different levels for learn-to-swim to allow your child to start with basic skills and then move on to stroke technique and proper swim form.  Our instructors are American Red Cross certified to ensure water safety. Please refer to the list of pools below and contact your nearest pool to find out more information on their Learn-to-Swim classes.

Competitive Swim Team (Miami Tarpons)

Prerequisite = Must swim 300 yards front crawl (proficiently with proper head position, arm entry and recovery)

Parent and Toddler Learn to Swim

Get 8 Sessions: $45 for Residents and $65 for Non-Residents

     Purpose:

  • Familiarize children between the ages of 2 years and approximately 3 years with the water and teach swimming readiness skills
  • Provide safety information for parents and teach techniques parents can use to orient their children to the water

     Prerequisites: 

  • No skill prerequisites 
  • Child must be at least 2 years old
  • Parent must accompany child to each class

Preschool Aquatics Learn to Swim

Get 8 Sessions: $45 for Residents and $65 for Non-Residents

     Purpose:

  • Familiarize children approximately 4 and 5 years old to the aquatic environment and help them acquire rudimentary basic aquatic skills
  • Help participants begin to develop positive attitudes and safe practices in and around water

     Prerequisites: 

  • No skill prerequisites 
  • Children should be approximately 4 years old or older

 Level 1 Learn to Swim

Get 8 Sessions: $45 for Residents and $65 for Non-Residents

     Purpose:

  • Orient participants to the aquatics environment and help them gain basic aquatic skills.
  • Help participants begin to develop positive attitudes and safe practices around water.

     Prerequisites: 

  • No skill prerequisites 
  • Participants usually start at about 6 years of age 

Level 2 Learn to Swim

Get 8 Sessions: $45 for Residents and $65 for Non-Residents

     Purpose:

  • Build on the basic aquatic skills and water safety skills and concepts learned in Level 1.

     Prerequisites: 

  • Successful demonstration of the Learn-to-Swim Level 1 exit skills assessment

Level 3 Learn to Swim

Get 8 Sessions: $45 for Residents and $65 for Non-Residents

     Purpose:

  • Build on the skills learned in Levels 1 and 2 to help participants achieve basic water competency in pool environment.

     Prerequisites: 

  • Successful demonstration of the Learn-to-Swim Level 2 exit skills assessment
