As Director and Zoning Administrator for the City of Miami, she leads efforts to modernize zoning processes, streamline development review, and support equitable growth across the city.

Paul Brown is an Assistant Zoning Director assigned to the Administration/Zoning Information and Development Division in the Office of Zoning, which administers and enforces Miami21 code and the city code. Paul had served in the capacities of code inspector, code lead inspector, code field inspector supervisor, zoning inspector II, zoning information specialist, zoning plans examiner, and zoning permitting supervisor. Paul possesses degrees in accounting, business administration and finance at Miami-Dade College, University of Phoenix and Florida Atlanta University. One of the degrees is at the master’s level. Over 10 years ago, he was successful in the state’s general contractor examination. He was also successful in the state’s real estate examination. He worked at a major bank in the credit administration division, which is now Bank of America prior to his tenure in the City of Miami and understands the synergies related to real estate, land use, land development and business enterprises.

Originally from Warsaw, Indiana, Jake Keirn brings a dynamic blend of urban planning and architectural expertise to the City of Miami. He holds a Bachelor's of Urban Planning from Ball State University and a Master's of Architecture from the University of Miami, where he developed a strong commitment to creating walkable, human-centered communities. Jake has gained hands-on experience through internships with Duany Plater-Zyberk in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Torti Gallas + Partners in Los Angeles, both nationally recognized for advancing the principles of New Urbanism. He later joined BC Architects in Coral Gables, Florida, where he contributed to high-rise design and construction projects before joining the City of Miami. Guided by the principles of New Urbanism and Smart Growth, Jake is dedicated to shaping cities that are more livable, connected, and vibrant. Outside of work, he is an avid cyclist who enjoys exploring Miami’s urban streetscapes on two wheels.
