Each year, the City of Miami receives federal grant funds via the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to provide services for low-income seniors, children, and the disabled, assist businesses in creating jobs, provide job training, improve neighborhoods through projects that eliminate slum and blight, and provide affordable housing.
Several Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) are offering eligible, for-profit businesses located within City of Miami limits free technical assistance on applying for available federal and state funding, in light of the COVID-19 crisis. These agencies focus on helping existent small businesses access available resources.
